Home is where the current apartment is!

Tehee.... here I am again? After a couple of months' absence i'm back, i'm not promising for good but I hope to blog frequently now that a new year's approaching. This is one of my new year's resolution: to blog more often...

I've been busy, yet again! This time, it's more productive than just sitting around, doing what nots. We finally made the big move! Yup, we moved from The Cave to a sunnier location. hehe... Is that the right description? Everything was a blur... We spent the holidays in our new home and we plan to welcome the new year in our new home too, for good luck. Before anybody reacts, yes, we're still renting for the moment, but we plan to acquire a home.

It was really exciting moving to a new place, knowing that it really is your new home already. I love the place we found, it's good for the kids. The house has a lot of space where the kids can play and it is secure. I won't have a heart attack at any moment since we are far from the main road and there is a concrete fence around the compound. The big bonuses are there is a lot of windows and sunshine pours in, the ventilation is good and the house is really spacious. Smokeshade and I had a lot of fun shopping for things to put in our new home. Hehe... We bought a new fridge, new stove, thermos. Some things that we can't buy yet like the dispenser, the washing machine, we borrowed from my mom and his mom. But, yes eventually we plan to buy our own everything. But it was really fun shopping for houseware and the basic things that we needed for our new home. The downside of it all was that almost all our savings are spent. Well, you can't have the cake and eat it too, so I guess, i'm just going to settle for a new home now. But i'm floating on cloud 9. Ah, pure bliss... Now, I can do anything I want without having to care for anybody else. I love the feeling and it seems that Smokeshade and the kids are having a grand time too. Even the household help was also enjoying her time, nobody to order her around anymore. So, we're all going to spend new year's eve tomorrow here... I luv it..

So, gotta go now.... I've said more than enough... Here's something that's really true... Got this from the countryheart.co.uk site.

Bits and pieces of everything....

I got off to a good start this morning... Something about what happened at work made my whole day... Yeah, I know that I didn't reach my quota today but, hell, there's still tomorrow till Friday. Anyway, people are busy, what with the coming audit and all. I juz got a bit sidetracked from my happy mood today when my team lead gave us the quality-checked files that we edited. See, we have this policy at work where we copyedit check another copyeditor's file to ensure that the article has passed the quality standards. I felt a bit awful because I totally forgot that I checked my friend's file. I know we're not supposed to know whose file we checked so I was just being honest about the errors I found. It turned out that she failed that certain file and well, you know what happened. Oh well, that's life and she'll pass next month.

Last weekend, we (my kids and I) trooped to my parent's home. I just had to relax and unwind from all the work-related stress that i've been experiencing lately. I didn't get to visit the cemetery, I mean you have like 365 days to do that, why go to all the trouble of going there when everyone else is all also going in that direction. And so, I stayed home and ate, read, watched movies, slept and then did the same things all over again. hehe... I guess that's my idea of R&R, can you blame me? And after all is said and done, I gained 2 pounds in just a few days, isn't that something? What i'm actually trying to do was lose weight! Hah, talk about dieting....

"I want a baby sister mom!" said my eldest son. "What?" I blurted. I mean he isn't even old enough to put his socks on and here he is talking about another baby. No! Definitely not possible... As much as i'd love to have a baby girl, I just couldn't go through the whole process anymore. Ugh, the pregnancy, the sleepless nights, the countless cans of milk and bags of diaper, no way. I'm done with that! My son even had the gall to tell me that he doesn't want one baby sister, but four! My mom just laughed and said that if i'd get pregnant again, I will become superfat already. As it is, she even reminds me now that I have to slow down with my eating, since i'm getting bigger by the minute.

So, that's it... I still have a couple of things on my mind but my youngest son is already bugging me to go to sleep, so i'll have to sign off now! Early nyt2x...

Another day w/ a freakin' connection

I know, I know... It's been a while since I last posted a new entry. So, what's new? Well, for one my connection sucks so I can't do anything than just browse and read stuff on the Net. I can't even browse photos on FB. I hate!

After a long week of not watching TV (my son had his second round of exams for this school year), I finally got to watch the tube this morning. Ah, pure bliss.... I miss Travel and Living, MTV, and everything interesting... First up, I had to watch MTV for some music updates and I wasn't disappointed. I hope you still remember the boy band ages ago, Take That.. Remember one of the more popular members, Robbie Williams... Rock DJ... Something Stupid w/Nicole Kidman.... Angels... Well, he's back with a new single - Bodies. I like the song and I just really love Robbie, even way back during his boy band days. Hurray for Robbie...

Another interesting music vid I saw this morning was the soundtrack of the movie 500 days of Summer - Why Don't You Let Me Stay Here by She & Him. One thing that really got my attention was the music video. It was a dance number of the lead stars of the movie Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel. It's really cute and fun to watch. Although the two stars are not really pros they still look good dancing and actually, they look great onscreen. The concept of the video itself is nice and quite unique. I love the part where Deschanel gives the bag back to Levitt and the latter accidentally takes hold of Deschanel's hand. Quite romantic... Now, this makes me more excited to watch the trailer of the movie. I sure hope I can watch it some time tonight if my connection gets back to normal. I'm excited...

So, i'm off to other things... wish me luck with the trailer thing.... nighty night everyone....

For starters

This has been the umpteenth blog that I have created since way back. For reasons that I cannot fathom I just start the blogs then I get preoccupied with other things and, poof! there goes another wasted blog. I hope and pray, with my fingers crossed, that this time it's going to work. I have a lot on my mind right now, several topics to write actually, what with the current crisis that my countrymen are facing. But first, we call for help to people from around the globe who can share any blessing that they have to the Filipinos affected by typhoon Ondoy.

I hope to write anything under the sun, various topics that I can think of, events in my little own world, and I hope to be able to share with you the blessings that life brings. Constructive comments and criticism are most welcome...

Before I go, i'd like to leave a message to everyone. This one's from my favorite poet.

In three words I can sum up everything i've learned about life: it goes on
                                                                                - Robert Frost

Mine does go on, how about yours? Good day everyone....
